telephone number and a contact person. Denials are required for your health insurance
to pay for your services. Without this information you will be solely responsible
for your medical costs.
Our collection policy is a necessary part of assuring the financial resources necessary to maintain this health care facility for our patients.
We accept the following methods of payment:
CASH, CHECK, MASTERCARD or VISA.
PLEASE NOTE:
We will bill all insurance for whom we participate
with as a provider. However; we do not file auto insurance or third-party liability
claims and all fees are the patient's responsibility at the time of service.
If you encounter difficulty in filing your insurance claim or in getting reimbursed, we will be glad to assist. However, we feel that the basic responsibility for payment tests with the patient. Furthermore, we do not feel that a liability action against someone else is reason to delay your payment of our charges. Payment of our bill is the responsibility of the individual who has received the treatment not the attorney or party being sued.
If your account becomes past due we will take action to recover the amount due within 90 days of the initial billing. Therefore, please do not ignore statements you receive. Discuss any problem in paying your account with our business office. If there is an unusual financial situation we will be happy to set up a monthly payment plan. The payment plan must be followed or we will pursue further collection efforts.
Even though the doctors desire to be on time for each patient and make every effort to do so, some delays in appointments may occur. Patients sometimes present unexpected or more complex problems than anticipated. Emergency cases and delays in the operating room can cause a delay in the schedule. Please try to be understanding should that situation arise. If your time is critical on the day of your appointment, feel free to call ahead to see if the doctor is on schedule.
We trust that your visit to OrthoKC will be both pleasant and helpful. Our entire staff is interested in your good health and any comments or suggestions that may lead to better service for our patients will be most welcome. Please address your remarks to the Medical Director or Business Manager.
